WEISHUO Maintains Strict Quality Control Over Plastic Parts: Comprehensive Testing Throughout the Entire Process

As a manufacturer with nearly a decade of experience in precision injection molding, WEISHUO ships tens of thousands of plastic parts daily to various industries, including automotive, home appliances, and industrial equipment. From a small latch to an entire complex structural component, the quality of every plastic part directly impacts the safety and performance of the end product. To this end, WEISHUO has established a comprehensive quality management system covering production patrols, dimensional inspections, full visual inspections, and functional testing, ensuring that every plastic part delivered to customers meets the highest standards.

I. Production Patrol Inspection: Process Control to Prevent Defects at the Source

During the injection molding process, even minor fluctuations in process parameters can affect product quality. Ningbo Weishuo assigns dedicated patrol inspectors to the production lines to conduct random inspections of plastic parts in production according to standardized frequencies. Inspection items include:

1. Real-time monitoring of injection molding process parameters to ensure that key parameters such as barrel temperature, injection pressure, holding pressure time, and cooling cycle remain within standard ranges;

2. First-piece verification: After every mold change, material change, or machine startup, the first product must undergo dual inspection for dimensions and appearance; mass production may only commence after confirmation of compliance;

3. In-process sampling: Inspectors periodically sample products to check for common injection molding defects such as flash, sink marks, bubbles, short shots, silver streaks, and weld lines. Upon detecting any abnormalities, production is immediately halted for adjustments, and the affected batch is traced.

Through frequent, standardized process inspections, WEISHUO effectively reduces the risk of batch defects and eliminates quality issues at the earliest stage.

II. Dimensional Inspection: Precision Measurement to Ensure Assembly Consistency

For plastic parts with extremely high assembly precision requirements, such as automotive components and functional parts for home appliances, dimensional tolerance control is critical. WEISHUO has introduced precision inspection equipment such as coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), projectors, digital height gauges, and feeler gauges to conduct rigorous dimensional inspections on every batch of products.

Core inspection items include:

1. Critical assembly dimensions, such as snap-fit dimensions, stud inner diameter and height, and positioning hole location, with tolerances controlled within the specifications outlined in the drawings (typically within ±0.05 mm);

2. Contours and surfaces: We use projectors or CMMs to measure the contour accuracy of complex surfaces, ensuring a perfect fit with mating parts;

3. Flatness and perpendicularity: We inspect the flatness of surfaces requiring the installation of circuit boards or seals to prevent stress or leakage after assembly;

III. 100% Visual Inspection: Combining visual inspection with instruments to eliminate surface defects

The visual quality of plastic parts directly impacts the product’s final aesthetic appeal and brand image. WEISHUO has established a 100% visual inspection station before the packaging line, where professionally trained quality inspectors conduct a 100% visual inspection of every plastic part. Inspection items include:

1. Surface defects: scratches, dents, bubbles, flow marks, scorching, black spots, white marks, ejector pin marks, etc.;

2. Color consistency: Comparison with standard color swatches or reference samples to ensure color variation within the batch remains within acceptable limits;

3. Flash and burrs: Verification that excess plastic along parting lines, slider boundaries, and around ejector pin locations has been thoroughly removed;

4. Gate marks: Whether the gate has been trimmed smoothly, with no protrusions or irregular residues.

IV. System Assurance: ISO 9001 & IATF 16949

WEISHUO has obtained ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System certification. We strictly adhere to tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC for project development and mass production control. For automotive plastic parts, we can provide a complete PPAP documentation package to meet the audit requirements of vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers.

V. Quality Commitment: Every Plastic Part You Can Trust

“Quality is not inspected into a product; it is built into it,” stated the head of WEISHUO’s Quality Department. “Through full-process production inspections, rigorous dimensional checks, 100% visual inspections, and targeted functional testing, we intercept quality issues at every stage to ensure that the products delivered to our customers are defect-free.”

Whether it’s automotive interior clips, engine-related functional parts, home appliance housings, or industrial equipment structural components, WEISHUO applies the same rigorous standards to every plastic part. Moving forward, we will continue to refine our quality management system and introduce more advanced testing equipment (such as in-line vision inspection systems and automated dimensional measurement workstations) to provide customers with more reliable and consistent injection-molded products.
