Addressing issues based on customer feedback

Recently, WEISHUO received feedback from an overseas customer: when using the WS6002 compact telescopic handle protective case, the handle collided with the bottom of the case the moment it was fully retracted, causing localized cracking on the bottom surface. The customer expressed concern about this issue and requested information on the cause and potential solutions.

Upon receiving the feedback, WEISHUO’s quality control and engineering teams responded immediately. We retrieved products from the same batch and simulated the extreme usage scenario described by the customer—repeatedly, rapidly, and forcefully pushing the handle all the way back—conducting a stress test far exceeding normal usage intensity. The test results showed that none of the samples exhibited any chipping, cracking, or deformation; the bottom structure of the case remained intact, and the latches and seals functioned normally.

Although we were unable to reproduce the customer’s issue during internal testing, the WEISHUO team did not stop there. We fully understand that every piece of customer feedback represents a potential risk in real-world usage scenarios. To completely eliminate the possibility of breakage under any extreme conditions, the engineering team re-evaluated the product structure and quickly developed an optimization plan: in the area where the handle impacts upon retraction, the wall thickness of the bottom panel was increased by 2mm, and the layout of the reinforcing ribs in that area was optimized to significantly enhance impact resistance and fatigue strength.

Currently, all modifications to the optimized molds have been completed, and the first batch of improved WS6002 suitcases has entered trial production. In the “10,000-cycle retraction impact test” conducted on the new batch, no damage was observed in the base area, with durability improved by approximately 40% compared to the original design. WEISHUO has proactively sent samples of the improved version to the customers who provided feedback, covering all shipping costs.

“Every piece of customer feedback is a stepping stone to our progress,” stated the head of WEISHUO’s Quality Department. “Even if there is only a one-in-ten-thousand chance of an issue occurring, we are willing to devote 100% of our effort to perfecting the product. This is not only a commitment to quality but also a response to our customers’ trust.”
